Artist’s Statement

I am fascinated by the infinite potential hidden in people, creatures, and places in light. Portraying a unique moment is for me deeply fulfilling. My gift is to see and capture people in their essence and reveal the splendor of a moment.

I am sensitive to my clients’ needs. I work with them to create the desired atmosphere in which to represent their spirit or depict the effect they wish to convey. At times I am simply a discrete witness to their beauty and interactions.

I have been a professional Photographer for more than 15 years. A combination of ongoing communication and artistic exchange with other photographers, together with a deep trust in my own artistic intuition, have been my best teachers; collectively these have honed and developed my skill and depth as a photographer.

My approach is a unique blend of photojournalistic and portrait styles that will give you the best of both candid and posed photos. The name of this style is Portrait Journalism.

My work has appeared both nationally and locally in books, newspapers, magazines and on CD and book covers.

I work in digital format. With every shoot a client receives CDs with easily accessible photographic images in color, black and white, or sepia tone. You make reprints at your convenience and in the sizes you wish.
